About Grand Champion Designs
I’m Eileen Gress, an Ohio Ayrshire breeder. I started Grand Champion Designs in August of 2017. As an advisor for the Ohio Junior Ayrshire Club, I found that the selection of artwork available for awards and embroidery was small, especially with a colored breed. With a default option of ‘Holstein,’ the best most companies could do was to make the black spots brown – but even with the right colors, the images lacked the breed characteristics of an Ayrshire.
I studied Agricultural Communication at the Ohio State University, where I learned graphic design and marketing. I decided to put those skills and knowledge to use making my own artwork for awards, and saw a major difference in quality. That artwork was put to use on my first round of clothing designs, and from there Grand Champion Designs has expanded into laser engraving, custom embroidery, custom farm signs and more!
